🌚Blackout blinds🌚
Whenever I work with a new client, I always ask about how dark their children’s bedroom is. A lot of the time I get the response, ‘we have blackout blinds/curtains’. But when I ask, ‘Is there any light coming round the sides?’ 9 times out of 10 the answer is yes.
Most blackout blinds and curtains are made to stop light coming through the material. They are fantastic at doing this and really do make the room darker. However what about the edges? And through the top of the curtain pole?
Not all blackout blinds are the same which is something I learnt when kitting out my boys’ rooms only to find it was still pretty light in there and had to add more layers with travel suction blackout blinds and tape!
After 7 years, we invested in BlocOut blinds and they’re brilliant! Pitch black in seconds! Worth the investment for good quality sleep (with no early wake ups!)
