🤷Arms up swaddle🤷

Many parents rave over the ‘Love to Dream Swaddle Up’ so I thought I’d do a post on it!

It is a modern, zip-up swaddle designed to help newborns sleep more comfortably and safely by allowing them to rest in a natural “arms up” position. This design supports self-soothing behaviors, such as sucking on their hands, which can help babies settle themselves back to sleep.

Why are they good?
1. Natural arms up position
More natural than the traditional ‘arms down’ position and enables baby to self-soothe by touching their face or sucking on their hands, which can lead to longer and more restful sleep periods .

2. Reduces Startle Reflex
The snug fit of the Swaddle Up helps to calm the Moro (startle) reflex, a common cause of sleep disturbances in newborns. By gently restricting sudden arm movements, the swaddle can prevent babies from waking themselves up.

My own personal experience with them? My eldest and third boys liked it as their startle reflexes were STRONG! 😅 My second couldn’t get on with them as he was a thumb sucker and we did traditional swaddling with my fourth! So a real mixed bag for us but the option is there if you would like to try it!

Did you find this swaddle helped your little one sleep better?
