👉 You do NOT need to do every nap in the cot.
I actively encourage a mix of naps:
• 🛏️ Cot naps
• 🚶♀️ Pram naps
• 🚘 Car naps
Why? Because life doesn’t happen only inside the house. And you can imagine, with 4 boys, we absolutely do not spend all day every day at home!
Babies who experience different nap environments often become more flexible sleepers, able to nap on the go, at grandparents’ houses, at nursery, or when plans change (because… they always do😂).
That said — cot naps still matter.
We do want to practise them too, especially if:
• You’re working on independent sleep
• Your baby struggles with night sleep
• You’re preparing for nursery
It’s not about choosing one way and sticking to it perfectly. It’s about balance ✨
So get out for that walk.
Meet the friend.
Live your life.
And when you’re home? Practise those cot naps too.
Sleep should support your life — not confine you to the house 🤍
If you’re unsure how to balance cot naps with naps on the go, I can help you find what works for your baby and your lifestyle.
