🙆Swaddle transition🙆

As I mentioned earlier, my first and third sons loved the arm up swaddles, but once they show signs they are about to start rolling, you must transition them out of them. It’s a daunting prospect, but I have done it, and so can you!

💡 The best way: Use the Love to Dream transition bag
The company makes a product specifically designed for this called the Love to Dream Swaddle Up transition bag which has removable wings that make the transition process easier and more gradual.

1. Start with one arm out (3–5 Nights)
* Remove one wing
* Leave the other wing on so they still feel secure.
* This allows your baby to get used to having one arm free while still feeling some swaddle comfort.

2. Monitor Sleep Behaviour
* If your baby sleeps well with one arm out, that’s a good sign they’re adjusting.
* If not, wait a few more nights before moving to the next step.

3. Transition to Two Arms Out
* After 3–5 nights (or when your baby adjusts), remove the second wing.
* Now your baby sleeps with both arms free but still has the cozy sleep sack feel.

4. Fully Arms-Free Sleeping
* Once your baby is comfortable, you can switch to a regular sleeping bag.

Good luck with the transition! The first few days may be rough but it’ll soon get easier!
