Striving for perfection is something I see so often. To be totally honest, I am a perfectionist too! A family comes to me with a baby waking 15 times overnight, completely exhausted, overwhelmed and running on empty.
Within a week or two, we get that down to two wakes – a huge transformation, a life-changing shift for the whole household. And yet the question comes, “Why two wakes? Why not none?”
Here’s the truth…
I can guide, support, teach, troubleshoot and transform sleep in ways that feel impossible at the start. I can help you go from chaos to calm. I can help your baby learn skills that change everything.
But what I can’t do, and what no one should promise you, is perfection. Babies aren’t robots. Sleep is developmental. And not all babies are ready or capable of sleeping through the night yet and that’s completely normal.
So if your baby goes from 15 wakes to 2?
✨ That is exceptional.
✨ That is success.
✨ That is something to be proud of, not questioned.
Celebrate the transformation.
Give yourself credit.
And trust that better is far more important, and far more realistic, than “perfect.”
Because you and your baby deserve compassion, not pressure. ❤️
