We worked with Nat when our little boy was only a few weeks old. She helped us start to practise some good sleeping habits and taught us some great tricks like the power of white noise and a dark room! Our little boy went on to be a good sleeper once he fell asleep! What he struggled with was falling asleep independently. We were always having to get him to sleep in the pram/car or by rocking him. This could take 5 mins or 1 hour and a half! Also, because he couldn’t self settle, if Stan woke in the night he would have to be fed and rocked to a deep sleep before being put down. I used to dread the night and even more so if my partner wasn’t with me. It could be so exhausting and I felt so sorry for Stan when he would wake crying because he couldn’t connect sleep cycles and fall back to sleep. We came to Nat hoping to help Stanley self settle. She helped us change our nap routine a little and made us realise that Stan’s wake windows were longer than we thought. We started to put Stan down when he was really tired after an easy nap/bedtime routine and he took to it so well. We managed to get Stan to start napping in his cot during the day and settling himself at night. All with Nat’s advice and support. She has been really wonderful. I’m going to miss her! Nat, you have changed our experience of being parents for the better! Thank you 🙂
